About
Brandon Parrow Cabinetmakers is a custom cabinet shop based in Wilmington, North Carolina. We specialize in bespoke cabinetry for residential kitchens, bathrooms, and built-in furniture — working closely with homeowners, designers, architects, and builders to bring exceptional spaces to life.
Behind every project is a highly skilled team of craftsmen and installers who help bring it to life. Our team is dedicated to quality and precision every step of the way. Every project gets the same attention to detail and the same hands-on care, regardless of size. Every cabinet that leaves the workshop is designed, built, and installed in-house, start to finish.
Brandon is from Wilmington, North Carolina. He trained first as a chef before finding his way into cabinetmaking — a shift that let him channel the same precision and care into something built to last a lifetime. Self-taught and endlessly curious about the craft, he founded the company in 1997 and has been building ever since. Design and craftsmanship remain his true passion, and that dedication shows in every detail of every piece that leaves the shop. When he's not in the workshop, Brandon's usually on the boat, hanging out on the porch, or spending time with his family.
We work exclusively in the Wilmington area and take on a limited number of projects each year to ensure every client receives our full attention.
How We Work
Great cabinetry starts long before a single piece of wood is cut. Here's how a project moves from first conversation to final walkthrough — thoughtfully designed, carefully planned, and built to last.
Our design process starts with you — understanding how you want the space to look, feel, and function, whether you're a homeowner, designer, architect, or builder. From there, we outline the scope of work and provide a general estimate of cost based on the scope of the project.
From there, we explore a few different design directions and refine until we land on the one that feels right. Once you've approved a direction, we lock in your budget and timeline together; anything that changes after that point is simply handled as a change order.
With the design settled, we turn it into a full set of working drawings — the exact measurements, joinery, and specifications your space needs. We share these with everyone involved in your project, from your contractor and architect to your electrician, plumber, and countertop team, so nothing gets missed along the way. Once everyone signs off, we get to work.
Every piece is built by hand in our workshop, then sent out for finishing/painting before it comes back to your home for delivery and installation.
Ready to Begin?
It depends on scope, but most kitchens and built-ins run three to five months from signed agreement to final installation — design and drawings first, then time in the workshop, then install. We'll give you a specific timeline once we've scoped your project.
Your initial estimate is a general figure based on the scope of the project — it gives you a starting point for budgeting, but it isn't a firm number yet. A firm cost comes later, once the design and materials are fully finalized. A few things make early numbers hard to pin down exactly: price escalation on materials, any change orders along the way, cost differences between paints and finishes, and installation conditions that can vary from home to home. We'll keep you closely informed as those details firm up.
We take on projects throughout Wilmington, NC and the greater Wilmington area.
A limited number. We'd rather give a handful of projects our full attention than spread ourselves across many at once — it's part of how we keep the quality consistent.
Both. We regularly partner with interior designers, architects, and builders who need a trusted cabinetry partner, as well as homeowners managing their own renovation or new build.
Whatever you have — inspiration photos, rough measurements, a Pinterest board, or just an idea of the problem you're trying to solve. We'll take it from there and help shape the vision together.
We take on a limited number of projects each year. If you're planning a kitchen, bathroom, or built-in, reach out — we'd love to hear about your vision.
